Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon/Queen Serenity: Serenity is the princess that Saturn first served, long before the Moon Kingdom fell. They are two sides of the same coin, one brings death and destruction while the other brings rebirth and hope. When the princess fell, Saturn dropped her glaive and destroyed everything else, almost everything that was left of the solar system. Her duty is first-and-foremost to Sailor Moon, sacrificing her own life in order to ensure the other survived. She feels the same longing that the other Outer Senshi do for their princess, wanting to stand beside her instead of being at a great distance. As Usagi, Hotaru views her as essentially Chibiusa's mother (future mother), and a friend. Wanting to help her when she's sad and cheer her up. Chibiusa Tsukino/Sailor Chibi Moon/Princess Serenity: Chibiusa was her best friend in her previous life and continues to be so in this one. She may sometimes get jealous or upset at the girl's other friends, but can come around to them. The pair of them are so close that they'll walk to school holding hands and before her memories returned, Hotaru would often conjure images of the girl. As Saturn, she treats Chibi Moon as her comrade and her future princess, fighting alongside her and protecting her. It was her that gathered up Chibi Moon's future guardians and had them saved by Sailor Moon so that they could fight alongside their princess later. Haruka Tenoh/Sailor Uranus: One of her three mothers in this life, Haruka is the parent who is seen as the playmate. All of Hotaru's childish energy usually goes away when her mother takes her out to play, and she's always excited to see Haruka. It isn't always just games, as Haruka does use playtime as a chance to also teach, and it's with this mother that Hotaru learned how to cast projections of the universe. As Senshi, Saturn often treats Uranus as a fellow guardian over being her mother most of the time. Going to fight alongside her, and even being the one who brought all three Outer Senshi back into their duties. The four of them are supposed to be the first line of defense against their solar system - being the outer planets. Protecting the royal family from afar, only appearing when deemed absolutely necessary. Michiru Kaioh/Sailor Neptune: The second of her three mothers, though Hotaru loves them all equally. Michiru has taught her to play the violin just like her mother, and also ensures she eats right. She seems to be the one to dress her and help with most of those tasks, yet those days are now behind them with Hotaru's growth spurt. Now can be the days when the two of them goes clothes shopping together. Like with Uranus, Saturn looks at Neptune as a companion more than a mother. Going into battle side-by-side, most of the time. While there is always some worry, Saturn knows they can both take care of themselves and that they have a bigger duty to protect the Royal family. Setsuna Meioh/Sailor Pluto: The last of her three mothers, Setsuna is also the nurse at her school and most exasperated parent. Hotaru can be reading quietly, only to cause trouble while her mama is trying to work. She enjoys spending time with her and they could have much to talk about when it comes to space anomalies in their system. As with the other two, Saturn acts as if Pluto is her ally and joins her in the fight against evil. When she sensed that something terrible was going to happen on planet Pluto to the other Senshi, Hotaru teleported herself there in an instant - resulting in the pair of them dying together. So it's clear to see that even outside their Senshi identities, Hotaru still cares deeply for her mothers. Mamoru Chiba/Tuxedo Mask/King Endymion: She doesn't have much time alone with Mamoru, but he is someone that Hotaru is loyal to. She has a great deal of respect for him and would fight to protect him, even give her life if necessary. He is the father of her best friend, and so would treat him as such outside of their Senshi lives. Inner Senshi: Hotaru is not extremely close with the Inner Senshi, having grown up separated from them. However, they are all part of the same group who would give their lives to protect the Queen and Princess. She looks up to them as the guardians closest to Usagi, and they could all be considered her fellow sisters or even aunts as they do their duty. Whenever they need her, she will be there to fight alongside them. The Shittenou: The three cats aren't those she's close to, though Hotaru respects the advice and strategies of Artemis and Luna. Diana holds more importance to her as she is often with Chibiusa, thus making the young kitten a closer attachment.

Character Personality Through Key Moments

(2+) Positive Experiences:
Hotaru is both wise and intelligent in her new life, having read all of the books in her parent's library more than once in the span of six months. Able to quote a slew of poetry and scientists from memory, or create the solar system from its beginning up until the present. She often speaks as though she's a much older and wiser soul than her physical body shows on the outside, which is, in fact, true. As Sailor Saturn, this also shows up such as when she faced the Amazon Quartet, she knew before everyone that these four enemies were actually Senshi that would eventually work alongside them. That the four Outer Senshi no longer needed to keep their distance and that they were needed with their new powers.

Even before her rebirth, Hotaru could be quite the kind individual to those she cared about. She loved her papa, even after he rebuilt her damaged body into something horrible. It was only after he completely turned into a daimon that she let him go. Even while possessed by Mistress 9, Hotaru risked what was left of her existence in order to save Chibiusa and the four Inner Senshi. This continued into her new life, growing up in a happier and healthier home with her three parents. She still cares greatly for Chibiusa and the others, following the young girl into danger and doing what she could to protect her. Most importantly, she is a happy child as compared to before. Being able to grow up in this new environment with her new parents allowed her to be as normal as possible, even when she started attending a proper school.

As Saturn, she has a fondness for destruction in the sense that with death and destruction, comes new life. Even when things seem to be at their bleakest, Saturn tends to be filled with hope that after everything ends, it will begin again. This is part of her duty as the Solider of destruction and rebirth, and she can see the beauty in this process - something not everyone is capable of. While Saturn was often viewed as the unwelcome Senshi in the past due to her role, she has since been accepted by them so as to not feel like an outsider any longer. It allows her to properly fight with them, rather than coming in on the last moment to destroy everything and give it all another go. This is something she wants, to no longer stand alone at the end of it all, but to fight in order to protect it before it gets to that poing.

(2+) Negative Experiences:
Hotaru can be a little distrustful of new people, not always consistent with it, but upon meeting two of Chibiusa's friends, disliked them and kept her eye on them carefully. This can be overcome should the individual prove themselves, but she has learned to not judge people simply by their appearance. Once someone has her loyalty, it would be hard to break, but once she fully distrusts someone, it will be near-impossible to gain back. She can also be a bit jealous when it comes to Chibiusa, as the other girl is her best friend. It can resort to some name-calling, and very obvious dislike on her part, even resorting to fighting with them (verbally, mostly). There are just simply some really loud personalities that Hotaru will struggle to get along with.

As someone who cares deeply for the people in her life, Hotaru can be somewhat impulsive, bordering on reckless. When she sensed the imminent death of one of her mothers, she teleported herself straight into that danger only to end up being killed. This was despite her duty to Usagi as they were some of the last remaining Senshi alive and she didn't even transform into Saturn to potentially shield them from this death. As a reborn Saturn, she also went with just Chibi Moon while pursuing their enemies and ended up being captured briefly. This was something she didn't just do to accompany her best friend, but also in the pursuit of potentially saving other Senshi that were being used and manipulated.

There are times when Hotaru goes cold and distant, much like Saturn. She becomes like a miniature goddess of death when viewing scenes that should be otherwise extremely emotional. When Hotaru saw a vision of Chibiusa crying over a dead pegasus, she was more detached than a child had any right to be. This is something that stems straight from Saturn, who is less empathic and more stoic than her civilian self. As the Senshi of destruction, one must have less attachments in order to put an end to everything. Especially if she also does care for some of the people she has to kill. This does not prevent her from getting attached at all, only that she has a separation of her feelings should there be a need to destroy those she cares about most. Until Saturn must drop her glaive, she will put her all into preventing the destruction of everything first.

Deer Country Attributes

• Canon Powers:

Healing: Hotaru has shown that she can heal minor wounds, mainly such things as scrapes or small cuts. Not just her own, but also others should the need arise. Age Shifting: After being reborn, she has grown from an infant to appear about 10 in a short span of six months. Her mental state grows along with her body, and Hotaru is actually intellectually far above where she is physically. In critical moments - or when Sailor Saturn is needed - she can instantly become years older so that she can fight alongside the other Senshi. Illusions: As part of her lessons, Hotaru has been learning to project images. She worked with Haruka to create the image of the galaxy and had a simulation of how it has evolved so far. It also happens when she plays the violin, as it showed images of a Pegasus and Sailor Chibi Moon. Precognition: She has the faintest bit of precognition, mainly when it comes to the deaths of the other Senshi or those closest to them. When the Outer Senshi were being attacked on their home planets, Hotaru felt this all the way on Earth. She also knows if there is about to be death on a massive scale, or when the Princess and Prince are sick with a life-threatening disease. Teleportation: She is capable of teleporting herself to the four Outer Senshi's planets all on her own. Hotaru teleported herself to the castle on Pluto without first transforming into Saturn. Due to the limits of Deer Country, she won't be able to leave the city without extreme strain. Sailor Saturn Hotaru is also one of the Senshi and has the power to transform into Sailor Saturn. She becomes more resistant to magic attacks and physically stronger - able to run faster, leap higher and heal quicker than the average human. Saturn can become ageless and near immortal once she reaches her twenties so long as she remains with Queen Serenity - she will stop aging and live so long as there is nothing to interfere with this. She is not infallible and can still die if overpowered by an enemy. Saturn can be killed, but so long as her inner crystal remains intact, she will be reincarnated after a long period of time. Glamour: Magical girls have to keep their identity a secret, thankfully there's magic at work to help with that! It makes it physically impossible to tell that Hotaru is Sailor Saturn and vice versa. Flight: All Senshi are capable of procuding wings for flight while levitation is separate from it, and Saturn is no exception. Summoning: As Saturn, she can summon her glaive wherever she is. Death Reborn Revolution: A powerful attack that can not only drain the energy from an enemy, but also causes the ground to split open. It has the appearance of multiple ribbons. When used against Pharaoh 90, it drained his energy and separated an entity with no physical form to separate from the Earth. The damaged caused by this can be reversed by Usagi/Princess Serenity. Silence Wall: A defensive power that creates an energy shield against any attack that has been thrown at her so far. It is large enough that it can shield more than just herself and can take any shape necessary - such as a dome to protect from an attack on all sides. She can go from using this shield to counterattacking with Silence Glaive Surprise using the energy put into the shield. Silence Glaive Surprise: An attack that causes a huge blast (however, it was evaded, and thus it's full potential was never seen) and leaves a black mist behind to lower visibility. Dropping the Glaive: This ability has no real name or title, it is simply when Saturn ends a people or world. It is, by far, the most destructive ability she has and is not one that is used lightly. Using it will cause Saturn/Hotaru to die, and she will essentially be reborn as an infant years later. All those who were killed by this ability will also be reborn, such as when the Moon Kingdom inhabitants were all granted new life. Still, it is one that will absolutely be nerfed while in Deer, and she'll be unable to end the world or its people en masse. The most it will do is leave a crater behind, and I will ask modly permission beforehand. Empathically Linked: She was seen calling to Chibiusa and Usagi telepathically over a long distance, informing them that the Outer Senshi were rejoining the fight with the Inner Senshi. Immortality & Rebirth: Like others under the ginzuishou of Sailor Moon/Queen Neo-Serenity, Saturn can become immortal once Usagi reaches near-peak strength. Even without this, so long as the Saturn crystal is not destroyed, she will be reborn over and over again.

• Blood Power Manifestation:

Hotaru will keep all of her canon abilities, so her paleblood powers will only strengthen them. Her prophetic visions will be a lot more powerful and this will play into any blood jewelry she will may make. Allowing anyone who wears a piece of jewelry made by her to get maybe 10 seconds of future danger - just long enough to potentially avoid something deadly.

She'll be able to pick up wayward telepathic thoughts that at first sound like having many radio stations on at once. With a little focus, Hotaru will be able to completely shut them all out, but it will be All or Nothing at first. Eventually, it will be a power that she can use at will and can hone in on one single person at a time. It will also allow her to telepathcially communicate with individuals that aren't the Senshi.

Under the moonlight, Hotaru and Saturn's powers will be at their strongest and that will be when she's more able to do her dreamwalking. It will be on accident at first, until Hotaru learns how to control it properly, but it won't be able to happen very often as it doesn't match up with her canon abilities.
